How to send it well
Send the card first and the message second. The message then reads as a caption, and the card is what shows in the chat preview.
Message people one by one where you can. A broadcast list is quicker, but a message with someone's name in it is the one that gets a reply. For elders, a personal message followed by a phone call is still the respectful way. Some families will expect the call no matter how good the card is, and we think they are right to.
Don't add everyone to a group. A wedding group with 300 guests turns into a flood of "congratulations" messages in a day. Use groups for the family doing the work, not for guests.
